Default 2004 GX470 iPod/aux connection

Whats the best way to get an iPod/aux connection in my '04 gx470. I went to a local shop and they wanted to charge me $500+, its not really worth it for that much.
Thanks

^^^what he said^^^

you have many options.....it all depends on how much you want to pay.

VAIS MultiMediaLinQ

Coastal eTech Lockpick

these 2 and there are many more.....you could even make your own interface......use the forum search....you'll find what your looking for.

as for me....i don't have an ipod, my kids do so i have the lockpick and a VAIS product(soundlinq sl2xmt) for my XM satellite radio....everyone's happy. i get to listen to what i like and so do the kids. the cool thing about it is that the kids can plug in whatever they like to the lockpick and listen to it and it has decent audio quality.

I'm cheap. I bought a cassette adapter and it works fine for me. About $10. I use it for an Ipod and my Blackberry when using Pandora.

I've tried 2 cassette adapters and the deck spits them out. Any advice here?

I've got an FM transmitter but that SUCKS.

try using a head cleaner in the tape deck, it may make a world of difference or do nothing at all. i know some cassette adapters just stink and won't work in anything.

i was using the one that came with my old XM ROADYXT before i got my sounlinq sl2xmt and it never gave me any problems.

I would say VAIS is the best, if you wanna save money check USA spec on amazon.
