I go to a place here in SoCal (Redondo Beach) that I was going to recommend. Its called All Points Automotive, Steve (owner) and his employees are al very good people. Very trust worthy and fair.

Thank you for the info.

.pdf of the aftermarket DVD player i have in my GX

this thing is only 9" and it almost completely blocks my view. the wire connection diagram is on page 8. eventually i will connect it properly....i mean it works and all but the clock doesn't keep the time and the lights don't go on when you hit the switch for them if the key isn't in in the ignition. looks to me like it was literally slapped in there.

WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THAT INFO. I am wondering if you tried to connect any other external devices to your TV. Since it can read JPEG format, and MP4 format. You can buy from Amazon coverter for about $40 that will covert any video from any device even VHS to JPEG format or MPEG 1/2/3/4 format.

no prob, glad the info helps. i have put vids on a USB flash drive and also an 8 gig SD card just to try it out. it works nicely. i just don't really bother because my kids have tons of DVDs and they are constantly watching their silly movies.

How about just clipping an iPad to the back of the chair.

I thought about just to get the portable DVD player that attaches to the headrest, but then again my son car seat is in the middle.

How about those new DVD player/screens that allow you to watch two separate feeds (toyota Sienna/Honda Odyssey commercials).

while doing my LED directional install i found the output wires for my DVD player. they were tucked away beneath the driver side sill. i figure since i'm here i might as well hook it up! now if only i could find the video out from the NAV unit. then it would literally be like the OEM rear dvd entertainment system. if it's down and turned on the kiddies could see the NAV map screen. i'd bore them to death!
