Anyone have the integral hitch?

I'm gonna need a hitch in a few months, problem is I don't think I'll be able to convince my wife (or myself, actually) to spend $230 + shipping on a hitch that I don't yet have an actual use for. Between selling my current house and buying a new one most all of my saved up cash is tied up in this or that...oh well, someone will jump on this great deal soon enough, probably just before I decide I can afford it. haha
GLWS though.
Oh, and I agree, all the hitches that aren't the same as this one are pretty fugs...I really like the super-small integral hitch like the one you have now, but I can't bring myself down to the 5k towing cap yet...although maybe I will in a year or two once I get my Tundra that I've been longing after for years...

If I could I would have kept the 6500 lbs hitch. It did not stick out as much as the aftermarket ones. But if you want big tires and KDSS you can't have everything. But at least I got a hitch.

What specfic part do I need for 2006GX to install integral hitch
Folks,
what specific parts do I need for 2006GX to install the integral hitch correctly?
Do I need the supports/re-enforcements?
Do I need the wiring frame/plate?
Where do I buy the punch-out plate with the correct cut-out?
Thank you.

Installed the integral hitch this weekend. Pretty easy and I did not take the bumper off. I took most of the bolts off and got it loose enough to use a 17mm ratchet wrench to remove and replace bolts.
You do not need the bumper reinforcement pieces; I already had them in place. You can reuse the 6 bolts when you take out the centerpiece.
It gave me just enough clearance for oversized tire with KDSS. It also has more clearance for off roading. But it only has a 5000 lbs rating compared to the full hitch of 6500 lbs.
Some pics.
The old center piece removed and the finished product.

Call Sewell Lexus parts online. Google them for their #. I ordered parts from them (talked with Darrell several times). Not sure exactly what you need - depends if you have the tow prep or not. If you have that (can call Lexus to confirm with your VIN or look under car at driver's back by spare tire for wiring harness) you should only need the hitch bracket & bumper cover cut out section. If you don't have the tow prep, you'll need wiring harness, maybe 3 relays and the hitch bracket and bumper cut out.

Do I need the wiring frame/plate? Only if you are not wired. Look under your spare tire area on the driver side, if you see a plug you are done,
Where do I buy the punch-out plate with the correct cut-out? Same place you buy all the other parts (Sewell). The part number above is for the cut out bumper piece in silver pine color. You will have to talk to Sewell and get the righr color for yours.
51909-35010 Tube S/A, PI 1pc. 197.21, yes
90119-12361 Bolt, w/wash 6pcs. 2.92, not really, reuse the old ones
82169-60050 Wire, Frame, SP 1pc. 215.25, most GX have this already
52171-60060 reinforcement 1pc.29.14, NO
52172-60040 reinforcement 1pc. 29.84, NO
PT228-89340 Ball Mount 4 1pc. 68.02, your call, cheaper elsewhere
52169-60050-B1 Cover, RR BU (Silver Pine) 1pc. 78.52 ,yes but get your color right!
00228-60966 Hitch Plug, L 100 1pc. 14.30, nice touch, I got one!

Wrong cover was sent
Folks, perhaps I am missing something. I called Sewell, they told me the part # and I registered on their new site and got out of stock. Called local dealer, they drop shipped me the parts # that Darrell quoted but it is exactly the same cover that I have now without a square cutout... Part # that I got is 52169-60052-E1, I thought Darrell knew what I needed for the integral hitch. Local dealer is being not so nice about a return, telling me this is a custom order and all that jazz, restocking, etc. I feel bad about calling Darrell back and re-asking. I will try to return to the local dealer if I can but what really concerns me that that was the part that Darrell told me to order on their website, basically if I ordered it from his site, I would get the flat cover without a cutout... Can you folks please check on the part # for your covers with a cutout. My color is Savannah Gold. Thanks a ton...

I am in the exact same situation. I have a 2007 GX but purchased the older 5000 lb limit hitch and now can't find the rear bumper insert with the cut out notch.
If anyone with an older GX has the notched bumber insert I could really use the part#.
You might even be able to read it off the inside without removing it using a flashlight from below.
Ever since the larger 6500 hitch replaced it Lexus parts can't find the notched part number to use to order it from Toyota.

Thanks dvzzz - I gave the parts guy the # you provided and the next day walked out with the correct bumper insert, albeit in the wrong color too.
I have Savannah Metallic and the bumper insert came in Champagne which is acceptably close.

dvzzz - I remember you calling me a couple times on this cover. It truly saddens me you called your local dealer for this . Maybe next time we'll get a chance.
Take a look below at the 52169-60051-XX cover I have in our picture for the integral hitch you guys are referring.
The other cover 52169-60052-XX, this is the cover you'd add if you have the larger (60-70 lb) bolt-on hitch assembly. The square cut-out is very subtle.
All this is in comparison to the 52169-60040-XX standard cover, no hitch option.
Everyone of these part numbers have 1 of 7 color options.
You guys got it now?

Hey Darrel
Just installed a DrawTite on my 06 and was hoping the piece I had would fit back over it. It's close, but doesn't want to snap into place. I had a bolt on hitch when I bought the truck used last year - the cover piece is a 52169-60052 *black onyx*
Will the 52169-60051 fit over the Drawtite frame mounted hitch? From your picture it looks like the more dramatic cut out will fit nicely, but I want to be sure before ordering. I have signed up on your site and am ready to purchase this item as soon as clarification can be given. Thanks.
Dave
