I think next on the list would be a better skid plate.
I think the KDSS skid is different from the non so I can't just go with after market 4runner or FJ skid?

Honestly I would keep GX the way you have. GX is a great luxury SUV with built in off road capabilities. I cannot imagine taking GX for serious off road. If you break something it would cost you an arm and a leg.

I don't do any rock crawling.
But I do offroad trips for a week at a time mainly on NF roads.
A GX without running boards could easliy handle this.
If I was never planning on going offroad I would have kept the X5.

I am liking were it is right now. At most some better skid plates but that is it.
One bad thing about doing to much (like my landcruiser) is that it adds a lot of weight to the rig. Which means slower, eats more gas etc.

So simple is good for now.

Great look and job on your GX, i would suggest deleting your rear cats, easy diet, no cel, engine can breathe a little better and stock exhaust sound, not to mention better mpg

Is the O2 sensor in front of the cats?

Did you do the EGR delete on a GX?

How did you get the roof rack off? What did you do w/the holes that it left?

Also, can you post some close-ups of the running board removal? In particular, how the front & rear fender flares look?

Below is how it's done on a RX. All the hardware works except the plastic caps that hold down the weather striping. The GX gutters are more narrow than the RX. So I just took off the gutter rubber and put in the bracket and screws. Looks very clean and easy to reinstall.

Thanks!

I'm still a bit confused. Did you use the bracket+cover from the RX and trim the cover to fit, or are you running w/a gap in the gutter rubber? Or something else?

I wonder if you can get the Prado w/o a rack in Europe...?

Thanks again,
Scott.

I am running it with a gap and no weather stripping in the gutter.
Can't see it so I just took them off, there are 3 pieces per side.

What did you do with the GX chrome wheels? Are they for sale?
