Default Adjusting valume for NAVI's announcement

When I set destination in my NAVI, I can't hear announcement if music is too loud. Only One speaker, driver's side, is muting radio and transfers NAVI sound. Any body knows how to adjust sound either to make driver's side speaker make louder announcements or mute all speakers at the time NAVI's announcement is being made.

Thank you.

Press the speaker on the steering wheel, wait for the beep and say "louder"

Well, I did it and speaker was set up to the highest possible, so it did not allow me do anything better. I guess there is only one solution just to low the music volume.

Thank you

Click "Menu"->Volume

Increase Volume, and make sure that Adaptive Volume Control is on.

You need to raise the volume, not lower it.

I did RAISE the volume but, whenever I am using my NAVI system and listening my music, at the time direction announcements are made, only drivers side speaker lowers the volume and rest of 13 speakers remain to be in the same level. So, if music is kind of loud I can't hear announcements. I tried on my friends 2002 LS430, the same result. In addition, I tried NAVI in my friends Infinity, and whenever announcement is made, all speakers lower the volume and direction announcement is loud enough to hear. I went to menu and adjusted NAVI volume to 7, highest is possible. Any suggestion how to adjust announcements? Thank you.

This is the same issue that exists on the 2010 RX 350. It's a poor design/oversight by Lexus. Complain to them ....maybe if enough do they'll fix it.

Did you try going to Audio, then Sound, then checking to see where the sound is going ??

Experiment by sending more sound to the Driver's side and to the Front.

I think its just a poor design... hard to hear if you have the music at anything above "low"

It may be a bad design, but you can get around it if the Sound is placed half way between the center and the left side.

By doing that, the sound on the driver's side in louder than on the passenger side, therefore, when the Nav lady comes on, the loud side is turned off and you will only hear the softer sound from the passenger side, while hearing clearly what the Nav lady is saying.
