Reverse Lights do not work? 2004 GX470
Where do I start? Reverse lights do not work. All other lights, brake, parking, and camera work ok. But reverse ligh on my 2004 GX470 do not work? Where is the switch that activates these? I could not find a single fuse for them?
Regards,
Fred.

Look at the Driver Side Foot well fuse box area and look for the following fuse
1. ACC Fuse 7.5A
2. IG1 and 2 10A Fuse
Check for connectivity.
Next if the fuse is ok, then Start the Car, Make sure the parking brakes are on and ask somebody to move the Gear to R.
While you move your ear to the wheel well area of the Driver Side, You should hear a click noise from the relay unit which is below the footwell area. If you do not hear, then it is the ACC Cut relay switch fried if not continue . The unit is identified with a Grey and White wire leading to the box. Further from there on it goes to the ECU. From the ECU you have two wire coming out Grey and Blue which exactly connects to a Diode below the Gear Shifter. This controls the back up lite function, Sometime even the diode could be the problem. Hope this solves the problem

Wait
Is the back up relay in the wheel well area or the drivers side footwell?
