hey all wanted to get some opinions. I have a 08 GX black w/ grey interior. I have 20% tint all around but am thinking of making the rear hatch door 5-8% so its not so easy to see in. My concerns are that it will be harder to see out at night. Do you guys think thats a good look with all the windows 20 and the back 5? Or do you suggest just leave it as is.

Ive had it for almost two years so I'm getting the urge to do something to upgrade it

I'd think 20% all around would be dark enough, IMO, but that's just me. I currently have stock tint on my GX, but it definitely needs to go darker (just waiting to find somebody local that won't do a half-@$$ job on it...

Like you said, I'd think 5% would be like trying to look out the window as if someone painted it with black paint (but it would definitely cut back on glare from those ah's that always like to ride your @$$ down the open freeway at night.

thx guys i decided to leave it alone. one thing i do notice is that the back is slightly more "smoke" color or grey than the front which seems more warmer in color. You cant tell from the outside but from the inside its like night and day. Could it be cuz the back had factory tint and its altering the shade a bit? Just dont wanna look like a fool going back and complaining.

I'd say it's the factory tint. I don't notice that same color difference in my GX, but I only have factory tint all around anyways...

i think you'll be good if you tint it, i have 35s all around with my windshield and i wanna redo my back to a 15

Ive had darker than 20 in other vehicles.. you dont want that. seeing out at night is impossible.
Id leave it be

I used to have 5% on the sides and two layers of 25% on the rear window. Personally, I'd go darker on the sides and leave the rear window lighter. I just picked up the 09 is250 in SGM w/black int. and I think I'm going to get 5% all around.
