I just replaced the Crossterrains on my wife's 03 with the General Grabber HTS. They feel great and it appears that the MPG my have gone up a little as well. We loved the CT and got 55K out of them, but so far were loving these as well. No loss in Lexusness in the ride.....smooth.

I just purchased a set of Michelin Lattitude Tour tires. We have two GX470's. Both have always had Cross Terrains. In December we were replacing them and were told Cross Terrains were no longer available and we ended up with the LTX M+S/2. Actually very happy with them. Drove in a lot of snow and ice on a trip thru Colorado. Last week I replaced the tires on our second GX and asked for the M+S/2's only to be told they were out, but had Cross Terrains in stock. Because the LTX M+S/2's had a much better tread wear rating, I was disappointed, but agreed to the Cross Terrains. Then I got a call back from the dealer saying their tire guy recommended the Lattitude Tour. A quick look at the specs on Michelin's website and I was sold. The specs are almost identical to the M+S/2's only they are touted as being quieter. Bottom line is the Lattitude Tours ride and drive great. Bery happy with them.

Here's my back-to-back comparison of Michelin Cross Terrain and Latitude Tour tires on the GX.

A couple of other points that I know from my personal contacts at Michelin.
The way that Treadwear is rated has changed and you can't compare the two numbers (420 and 720) directly. There is no expected difference in treadwear. Also, the Cross Terrain in the GX470 size has NOT been discontinued (but many other sizes have). The tire in the GX size along with a few other sizes will remain in production for some time.

I put a new set of Michelin LTX/ M+S/2 on our GX470 a few months back. I have been using the LTX M+S on my Dodge Ram for years with great success in all conditions.
So far I like them much better than the Cross Terrains, they are very quiet and the traction on ice and snow is great.
