that's normal on Lexus cars. it's not your moon roof.

it's really loud ,and now way can you even have your back windows open , how do you stand the loud pounding sound with the moon roof vibrating ? or do you just keep back windows close ?

It's called wind buffeting and it's normal and happens with a lot of cars.

If you wanted the back windows down,... then the front need to roll down also to avoid the noise.

Try opening the moonroof (tilt up) along with the other windows.

There has been a TSB issued NV006-06 for such noise in GX from 03-07 models. The noise is generally experience like a rattling, ticking,or wind noise coming from the sides of the vehicles at higher speeds. The rear piece of the front door window frame moulding is generally the cause. The replacement is done on the RR and LH door frame Mouldings. If you under Comprehensive Warranty this repair is covered.

i finally figured out where my wind noise is coming from - it's the main muffler (resonator) rattling against heatshiled i think but i can replicate the noise now with pushing on the muffler... gonna get that fixed with next oil change

even in park i hear the wind noise so i knew must be engine or exhaust - turns out exhaust... lucky me cuz could've been much worse...

i know i don't have moon roof issue, never suspected it... i just heard wind like noise and from reading many threads thought it could be engine related or racks or exhaust but have now discovered it was the exhaust center or main muffler rattling...
