I'm considering the purchase of a CPO 2004 GX470 with 49K miles. It has the tow package (not just prep), Mark Levinson, Nav. Asking price is roughly $25K.

Is there anything specific I need to be aware of when looking at a 2004? I do need to confirm the tow package capacity as I have a 5,000lb boat to pull.

I edited the title to include the '05 model. After reading more on the site, it appears there was a power upgrade from 04 to 05. Are the 05's better from a reliability standpoint? Any other material improvements between the two years? Price-wise, would you pay 3k more for an 05, assuming all other things (mileage,condition, features) were similar?

Do a "search," there's been a lot discussed on here about the differences between years and what to look for when buying used. In a nut-shell, the engine is the only significant change between the two years.
