Snhrph, you have a Black GX? I wax mine with Black Magic "Wet Shine".

Rated #1 by Consumer Reports. The shine is incredable. I recommend it for the Onyx.


Mine is a 2004, and after I waxed it, the Lexus Service manager thought I got one of those "$250 details". You will be quite happy with this product.

They are chromed stock Lexus rims. The service manager said that not very many were sold with the GX as they were a 1200 dollar add on. He referred to them as 'glamor wheels'. Here in Portland, I have not seen another set around.

I have a 2004 gx and my rims are chromed as well. I was told this was a request from the delaership from day one. The issue is that the chrome is ruined so i need to get them redone but i like your style wheel much more. Look at mine. More info on our wheel i would greatly appreciate it.

Yep, I've seen the spit 5-spoke chrome ones, they do look nice.

But the solid 6-spoke on mine I have not seen. I'm hoping that someone else on the boards has a set.

I think these are chromed Prado wheels. This is what they look like close-up.

Does anyone else have these type of wheels chromed or not?

Your car looks great. I just spent 8 hours claying, polishing and waxing the GX. The results are day and night. I was able to get rid of all of the fine scratches and swirls. The paint looks very glossy and deep now. Black is a very hard color to take care of, but it looks amazing when clean.
