SERIOUS advice needed
In the market for an SUV (and another daily car), have test-driven them ALL (trust me ), and I want a RELIABLE SUV so the GX has jumped to the top of the list.. but... is it worth waiting for the refresh coming late this year? I'm getting $49K-$52K offers from my Lexus sales manager on fully loaded 09s.
I'm upgrading the wheels (can't stand standard rims), but other than that (minus some sporty driving vs competition) I think it's a prime lux SUV.
ANY issues (I've done my search, seem minimal)... and should I wait?

I guess depends on your budget. Reportedly the new '10 GX460 will be closer to $60K. There also will be less deals as it's going to be a new model. The good news is, that if you wait for the '10 GX460 to come out, you may get a much better deal on the '09 GX470. Also, if you can't wait, look around, I'm sure there are better deals than $49K-$52K for the '09 GX470.
The best advise I can give you, think with your head - not your heart. This is a vehicle - not your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband, etc..... ;-)

It's hard to answer...because we are not 100%
sure what we are comparing the 2009 model to?
Talk is cheap about how "wonderful" the new design may or may not be.
Some features could be better, some could be worse....we don't know.
For instance I hate keyless ignition, so I wouldn't like that,
but there may be other new features I would like.
I would advise if you're not in a hurry to wait and see
what pros/cons the new design has....and like someone
says if you don't like the new design the '09 would probably
be discounted as the "old model" and you could get a great
deal.
Good Luck.

Seriously, you should get a much better deal than that! Seriously, they won't want any of those '09s clogging up their lot the day the '10s arrive.
Seriously, I think the GX (all I can comment on is the non-KDSS) is an outstanding combination of reliability, build quality, quietness and moderate to high power output. I'm happy with it, but it's floaty (less so when dialed to sport suspension setting, but still...) and the rear suspension crashes over heaves and bumps in the road often enough that it's really annoying. The fulltime 4WD design contributes to gas mileage that won't make you brag about your carbon footprint. The lack of smart key, HIDs, heated / cooled seats and larger wheels makes me look enviously at Escalades. The GX is what it is: an older design in need of updating and that's what's happening in '10. Seriously.
Seriously, if the new GX is priced closer to $60K as gsobol indicates, then the current GX looks like an even better deal today. Seriously, I'd expect that you'd get next to no negotiating leverage on the re-designed version, which only opens up the price gap further.
Seriously, drive a harder bargain and get the '09 GX.
Just my $.02 in all seriousness.
