Nice!
You mentioned that you were originally looking for a 4-Runner. I assume you've driven some 4-Runners, so could you give your comparative impressions of the two vehicles? I was shocked at the difference between the GX and 4-Runner (with them being so similar "on paper"), but wondering what your thoughts are if you've driven several 4-Runners.

The Weekend before buying the GX I drove from Phoenix to San Diego in a 03 4Runner SR5 supercharged V8 with 3" lift. With those major differences taken into account I still don't think I can add anything new that hasn't already been said. The quality of ride in the GX is to be expected - smooth, quite, and surprisingly less body roll. IMO the 4Runner still looks better. What I wouldn't give to get a hold of a Prado front clip, much more aggressive looking. Then again, I'm in that maturity middle ground - I like all the luxurious amenities inside but want it to look tough on the outside!

You said something about warranty and lift. Are you planning on putting a lift kit on the GX. Because if so, should have gotten the 4runner. I never seen a lifted GX but I bet it's not pretty, LOL.

Great Deal on the GX. They are still holding their prices even in the economic times we are going through.

I don't think it looks that bad, and with its land cruiser roots....

Don't look to bad. Not my cup of tea. I guess by seeing lifted Jeeps, Rams and F-series, my pre-concieved ideal of lifted trucks lends to towards those vehicles and Luxury trucks. Besides it will make the ride harsher which makes getting the GX a mute point. But with that said, if you like it go for it. I am sure you have a vision. Work it out. Can't wait to see the finished product.

It is just a spacer lift up front and extending the air ride in the rear so no ride change.

The thing that would probably bother me the most about that GX in the above photo is the NOISY tires. I wouldn't be able to tolerate those unless I REALLY needed them for frequent off-road use. I can't STAND noisy tires on any vehicle that I'm going to drive much on pavement.

I need to know how is ride control, is it behaving normal as the sensors attached on the rear wheel do have the Height Control Solenoid Valve which determine the ride experience, Are you getting or should i say have you ever got so far a warning on the Dash cluster "MIL" warning light. I am really interest to know this part. Anyways looks good on the GX and which rims are those, seems like the Nissan Patrol ones

the picture of the lifted one is not mine, just a picture from IH8MUD. I am still working on a way to lift the front and maintain all factory controls.

It's amazing on some deals you can get in this economy.

I picked up this May 20th for 18K. One owner, 72 thousand miles.
She did full service at every interval, including the 75k service at Lexus of Portland.

She was asking 22k for it, but during the deal, I was comparing it to a Chevy Suburban not a Lexus.

I'm quite happy with the GX
