Rear Bumper Cover Cost for 2005 GX?
Anyone know how much an OEM white rear bumper cover for a 2005 GX cost? Dented mine last night backing into something and must replace.

My wife did the same thing... No other damage other then a cracked cover and the bodyshop did not have blend other panels which was good. Cost was around $800 parts, labor and paint to fix. If I recall correctly the cover, and the impact cushions and clips were only $250.

It was not painted but was a factory piece. I believe only the side moldings and fender flairs can be ordered painted from the factory. The body shop purchased the cover from Lexus of Rockville in MD.

FYI fellow GX owners, I ordered the bumper cover yesterday. It comes primed and costs $265+tax. According to my auto body guy I've used for years, it's a 3 stage paint job and the total cost to repair, including labor, is around $665.

interesting. we got rear-ended last summer while in traffic (sub-5mph). it didn't do any damage to the paint but it did crack one of the retaining clips. i hadn't given it much thought until i was under there the other day and noticed that it kind of wiggles around a lot more than it should. might need to replace that.

YES, at a minimum. More often than not clips and impact cushions need to be replaced and quite possibly metal work maybe required to restore the integrity/effectivness of the bumper. You won't know until you remove the cover. Often times the damage is more pronounced under the cover even though the cover shows little or no damage. My wife was going less than 5mph when she backed into a car and all of the above including the cover needed to be done.
Consider it a bonus if you don't have to buy and paint a new cover. Sounds like it will be an easy/inexpensive fix for you.
