Bluetooth Phone Volume
I have a 2009 GX 470 and have found that people I call from the car say the volume is very low, making it hard for them to hear me. In the car, their voice comes in as loud as I want since I can adjust it on the dash. Outgoing volume isn't adjusted at the same time!
If I put my mouth very close to the mike in the sunglasses holder, they say my volume becomes normal. Hard to drive that way!
My cell is a Blackberry Storm. Car and cell are brand new.
My question - how can I adjust outgoing sound levels to make me heard on the receiving end? Could the mike just be defective?

Hi
I'm working on a Issue with my Blackberry as well. I have the Blackberry Bold, and everything works fine except my car speakers don't ring when I am receiving a incoming call, sound system shuts off shows I have incoming call, but no ring. I'm wandering if it is the Blackberrys not totally communicating with the system. Nobody has given me any answers yet, I am waiting to hear from Lexus on the matter. You may have to do the same.
Keep us posted on what you find out.

Yep.....almost everyone says they can hear me, but I sound like I'm in a tunnel.
If anyone finds a work-around for the "gotta come to a stop" to end hands-free
on the 2009 please let me know......i hate that soooooooooo much!

try this:
Turn Ignition "on"
Press Info button and hold while you turn the headlights on and off 4 times
A menu appears. Click the menu button and go to Bluetooth settings and adjust the voice quality setting

I did this procedure a while back. It is the correct solution to the OP complaint. The outgoing volume on mine was set at 0 from the factory I believe, and I turned it up to +3. I also turned up the incoming volume to +2, so I had better control to the voices coming in through the bluetooth. (I always had it turned up to the max, so this gave me some wiggle room, and now I leave it set at 2 notches below max volume on the dash).

I have the same problem with my T-Mobile G1 phone. Hope this trick works on my '05 GX. I'll try it tonight.
Another problem I have is that you cannot add phone numbers manually to the GX phone book. You have to send from the phone, which is a problem because the G1 phone cannot transmit files via bluetooth. Hopefully they will come out with an app or firmware update for this phone. Anyone else have this problem?

Good info Sickntired, thank you for sharing. I tried it as well and although I don't have any problem with my bluetooth, there's always room for improvement.

I saw my Lexus Tech hit the Display button on the Nav and then tapped on the upper left and then lower left of the screen in rapid succession until the Diagnostics Menu came out.
