No doubt! HREs are pricey, but unfortunately the HRE 648 style is 10-12 years old. Might be a hard find

Yes they were painted to match the body color. These wheels are Black Rhino hard alloys (Charge). I think they were 22x9. The tires on the wheels are Nitto nt420 285/45r22 114h.

to me, 22's look like the right balance of decent sidewall, but modern looks.

Going against the norm here: 17X8 Method Double Standards, backspacing pushed the wheels out a bit, now flush with fenders

Definitely like the less back space so that the tire and wheel sit more flush. I went with the FJ stock 17" wheels as they have a slightly less backspace and brought the tire and wheel out just enough. Now im thinking of possibly powder coating these bkack?? The tires are 285/60/17 Toyo Proxes

Thank you! The ride is way better on 17s rather than the 22s. Not that it was bad b4.

Thanks for sharing these photos! The GX470 design is a classic and tho' it's been over 10 years since it was introduced I can't think of any new model that I like better. My 2004 is still all original except for a VaisTech I added to have iPod capability. The only other improvement I would make is if Bluetooth could be added as part of the Levinson Nav system - and I guess after seeing these pictures I can see upgrading the wheels, too! They make a great design look even better

Though I've posted these elsewhere, I'll add to the gallery. These are from a newer FJ Cruiser and I think also come on the 5th gen 4Runner.

At some point, I should probably get rid of the Toyota emblems.

I know. I've even toyed with the idea of rebadging the whole thing as a Prado.

Those wheels look great and gives a car a nice rugged look. I had been considering replacing mine with these in the near future.

Where did you buy the wheels? I've seen some on ebay, but not sure if everything over there is OEM. What are the specs of these? What brand and size tires do you have? Is your car lifted or stock? How's the road noise with MT?

Thanks!

I bought them from a local classified ad. Some girl sold them off the FJC her daddy bought her. They're 17x7 but I'm not sure of the offset. With the 265x70/17 Goodyear Duratracs on, they stay tucked inside the fenders flares. I have about 1 1/2" lift with bilstein 5100 struts but I'm about to put OME springs up front to match the rear. The gx is sealed so well, the noise is barely noticeable. The duratrac looks aggressive but is actually more all terrain than mud and behaves very well. I have the E rated tire so it's heavier than the C option and likely hurts my MPG but might last longer.
