IMPORTANT QUESTION: On trying to remove one of the bulbs, the bulb was literally fused into the socket, and I was unable to remove it intact, so now I need a new socket as well. Having a hard time finding it online. Any ideas on where I can find a part online so I can stay away from the dealer?

easy from outside, be careful brackets are plastic and I broke one on removal, otherwise just snap and go

You are correct! My License lamps popped out with just a little downward pressure on my '06 GX 470.

Folks must think there's a latch there like on the 4Runner. Both of mine were broken and the lenses gone when I bought it. I replaced them with Toyota parts, the entire assembly, about $25 each. $50 each at Lexus. Yep, they just snap out and back in. Should only take a few minutes.
