Cool philips ultinon

I have a new set of philips d2r 6000k, a complete philips 9006 6000k HID kit, as well as an OEM Denso/Toyota kit with philips 4300k d2r bulbs. Let me know if you are interested in any of these kits.

I am very interested in in installing an HID kit also.I do not know which kit or brightness to go for. I recently drove a 2008 RX which comes stock with HID's. I loved them. Is there a kit that comes close to the factory RX bulbs as far as brightness and color is concerned?

I believe all the 06 and newer Lexus use the third gen HID ballast and either d4r or d4s bulbs, which will require the 3rd gen ballast....

If you want the RX's oem color and brightness, find a 4300K HID kit.

There are many kits on the market. Go with one that provides the best customer service.

With regards to the earlier posts about McCulloch kits being so great... rubbish.

Check out the headache this McCulloch dealer went through and is now putting his customers through... lol.

Good luck in your search.

I agree, the BEST kits are definately the Philips, which are after all mostly OEM and the Denso ballasts definately last longer. I was usiing some standard 4300k philips when I had a minor front end collision. Headlight broken, the ceramic rod broken, and the light was still working. Just fine I might add... Anyway, my opinion is also that Philips/Denso is the best! Especially those 6000k Ultinons from Philips. They are awesome and definately look better in my car than the 4300k. Kind of like a frosty bluee/white color... Brighter than standard 4300k

I have used a philips kit and a cheap ebay kit in my gx. To me there was no difference in output because they were both the same. I would not have bought the ebay kit if my philips kit didn't stopped working. I did have the philips kit for 2 1/2 years before it blew and i did pay a good penny for it. Then i bought a kit on ebay and at the time they were above 150 for a set and it has lasted me from then to now which is over 2 years. Nothing is wrong with it so far and i haven't really notice a color shift either.

Buts up to you but i don't think i'll spend $400 on a kit anymore.

I'll just get one from ebay for $100 and i mean u can get more if it doesn't work out for you. Just a thought.

What does an HID kit come with? How hard is it to install yourself and what modifications ,if any would I have to make? Would I have to cut or splice into factory wiring?

Most of you are forgetting that the GX uses H11 low beam bulbs, so the regular d2r/d2s won't fit.

Plug and play kits are just that-no wirings to splice.

I have a 4300k xenon depot philips kit when I had my GX. I've been holding on to it for my sister if she ever buys a camry. At this point, I don't think she is.....I'll probably put it up for sale
*cough* shameless plug *cough*

Why go with mcculloch when our vendors (Cliffud and xenondepot) carry better hid kits and customer service to back up???
