“Druco", if I am not mistaken GX470, LX470, Landcruiser, 4 Runner, Tundra and Sequoia are all fall into total redesign in every 8 year interval not 4 year interval. We may see a light modification at the 4th year. I am told that the next major re-design on GX470 is expected on 2011 models the same year the 4 Runner is also expected the next generation. Please be aware that both GX470 and 4 Runner share the same chassis.

The GX was introduced as a 2003 model in November 2002

The GX has seen a minor refreshing in the 2008 model year.

It was actually December '02 before anyone was able to drive one off the lot - if you go back and look at some of the first posts in this sub-forum you'll see that the dealers didn't start getting their first shipments in until early to mid December and only a handful of CL members had actually bought one before the end of the year - a fairly late intro for an '03 model.

I would almost bet anyone that they could not stand 20 feet away and tell one year from the next. There have been NO real change other than some electronics and interior options. The horsepower differences are laughable at best.
