Default 2007 GX470 Rims

I'm in the process of buying a black '07 GX. It comes with 17" alloy 5 spoke rims, but the Lexus.com website shows that 17" alloy 6 spoke rims are available as an option. I asked the dealer and he said the 6 spoke rims won't be available until the Spring of 2007. Does anyone know if this is this true? If so, why doesn't Lexus wait until the Spring to put it on the website.

Thanks,
Will

Hi Will,

Welcome to the club. I see the 17" 6 spoke rim listed on the Sewell Lexus website. Is this the one you're looking for? It seems to be the same as the one shown on lexus.com.

That's very interesting...
But... if I'm going to spend extra money on wheels... I would rather go with something bigger...

Thanks for the help. We bought them at www.newlexusparts.com ($100/rim internet discount) and had the dealer install them. Total parts/install was $1,006.29. They look much better than the standard rims, in my opinion.

I bought them, now I'm stuck with the stock rims. Any ideas on where to sell them?

You might try contacting one of the "take off" rim companies, and see if they would be interested in buying them... alternately, mount some agressive snow tires on them and have a winter set...
