Has anyone here installed larger aftermarket wheels on their GX. If anyone has can you post some pictures IK would like to get an idea of how it looks on a GX. I have not seen a GX on the road here in socal with aftermarket wheels.

If you go to the photoshop forum on this site I believe that there are some pics of a GX with larger tires and etc.

I did but there was not that many to look at. I did see yours and it looks great!

Will do CV once I find some classy looking 19 or 20's that will compliment the GX. It took me over a year to find the perfect 22's for my FX45.

Hi Dr. 2k. There are only a couple of members who have aftermarket wheels.
Nice Fx btw, doc.

One member did the stock 4runner wheel upgrade.
A couple members did the 20's, 22's, and 24's. I thought that the 24's would be way too big, but it actually looks pretty good

I can't remember their names, but they will chime in when they see this topic.
I personally don't want to go above 20's b/c for an suv, I'm pretty conservative and would like to have that extra sidewalls.

I was looking around on tirerack.com (our vendor) and came across this for the gx. You can click on the wheels and they will show what it looks like on the gx

Thank you GS3Tek for your informative reply and the compliment on my FX (wrok in progress). I will probably not go over 20's for the wheels but I will probably wait until I need to replace my tires. Might as well get my money's worth. I did look at the Toyota 4Runner option and they do look good but only wish they offered them in 19 or 20's, but I am still considering them as an upgrade.

This board has been great and very helpful is answering all my questions on this great vehicle. First mod up will be the vais and the ultimate kit for my xm and ipod.

I have got 20's chrome with Ventus 265/60/20. ride is pretty much the same.. only it looks and handles better. i have few pics posted under other topics about wheels.

Earlier i went with 22's but thought the ride was too rough.. there was hardly any tire left so i switched it to 20's they r the best size for this car.

Very nice combo sayadil it looks really good. How do you like the 6k HID's? I am going to do that next after I do the lockpick and vais mods. Going to see if it is possible to do both fog lights and headlights in 6k HID's. What brand are you using? Just got my front 2 windows tinted today with 40% huber optik ceramics.

I am in So Cal too and don't see any GX470s with aftermarket wheels. I sometimes see chromed out OEM wheels, but that's it. The 18" 4Runner Limited rims that some on here have already are appealing, but it's a hassle to get them, since the dealerships won't support you in selling them to you and installing them.

Very nice setup you have there 0260n5.7! Just a afterthought but chrome lips would have saved you the headache of maintaining the polished lips. I will probably eventually go with 19 or 20's. Thanks for links to the pictures everyone.
