Could you please tell me what you mean about setting this time from 2 to 5 seconds? Is this somewhere on the GX or inside the phone settings for the RAZR? Could you give me specific instructions? Are you saying that by doing this you get a good ring thru the speakers of the GX?

Well I use a motorola razr and it works fine. I get ringing with incoming and outgoing calls. But you have to change the aswering time length on the razr in the Settings-->Car Settings-->Auto Answer set it to 5 seconds instead of the default 2 seconds.

Thank you. Could you tell me what "auto answer" means on the RAZR? I have always been afraid to turn this feature on not knowing what it would do.

All that means is when you have the razr paired/connected to a handfree device, i.e, GX470 Bluetooth, you will not have to press any key/button to connect to the call. It will simply ring a few times and connect automatically.

Thanks for your input. One more question please, are you saying that you have to have the RAZR's auto answer feature on and set to 5 seconds before you will hear the audible phone ring thru the GX's speaker system? Is there no way to hear the audible ring thru the GX without having the auto answer feature on the RAZR on for those of us who want to decide whether or not to accept a call? Thanks in advance for your patience and advice.

No I do not believe so and Yes. There is also a 'Auto Handsfree' setting right under the 'Auto Answer'. I have mine set to 'On', but you should be able to have that set to 'off' and still be able to hear the ring and be able to manually connect at the same time. These phone and bluetooth combinations are very very very finicky and NOTHING is universal about this so you have to try different combinations and do your own trial and error research.
