I voted for the basement but my seats are actually in the attic, where they've been since day 1. I didn't need the seats but wanted the rear air because my dogs are always with me.

Those are not defrost elements, they are antennas. There is 2 sets of antennas for the GX, one is powered and one is not. The radio selects the one with the best reception.
BTW one of the 3rd row seat is in the car and other one is in my basement, I didnt vote because I didnt see a option for that.
