Default Front guard for GX

Hi everyone,
We are considering fixing a Front guard at the front end of our GX (Similar to the one that the MB M class has) I checked the Lexus web site and it seems as though they do not offer it as an accessory.

Does anyone know of a vendor that sells front-guards for the Lexus GX ?

If any of you have fixed one already, we would love to see pics of your GX

Thanks,
Mel

there are many different companies that make different styles. Try a google search on it. Im not sure what style you mean "like the mb m class" Is that one your speaking of a small chrome tube that comes up? Or a whole offroad type rugged type of guard? Also, Welcome to CL if you havent already been welcomed.

These guards look very un-Lexus to me, but that's just my opinion. Would the need for this be function or just cosmetic? Also, I am wondering whether a thing such as this would affect the operation of safety features, such as the air bags.

I'm considering getting this for my GX. It says it fits 2003-04. I'm sure they fill the 06s as well. I'll confirm prior to checking. It's available in black and chrome.

Hello,

T&H Guard is the best guard available for the truck, GS_Girl I would recommend getting this.....HOWEVER, T&H is in still in the process of reworking this as they had some mounting troubles since this piece mounts ONLY to the underframe (as opposed to two extra bolts/attachments through the front bumper). Hence check with Autoseattle last time the was something on the order of 3 months/unavailable or contact T&H Usa directly... there is a similar EURO version with 4 mount points, but they are few and far between.

thanks

I'm with Bob - nothing like ruining the look of a really nice looking front end - get a 4runner if you want to clutter it up like that. Also, those things destroy front ends when you are in an accident, instead of a little bumper damage at 10 miles an hour, you destroy the hood, grill, headlights and bumpers as they offer no protection at all, they just mash into everything.

no thanks!

ive hit cars with my center guard on my LX and it doesnt move at all bro. ive also hit things like shopping carts and launched them across parking lots and a few other roadside objects that were fun to punt.
