Hello All:

I am considering the purchase of a 2005 GX 470 Black/Ivory with the Sports Pkg/Nav/RSES/Tow in the running with a Ash Blue Mica/Gray/Nav/Tow Pkg and I would like to get some input on how much of a noticable difference one can appreciate with the Sports Pkg with everyday use. Also, would you all anticipate any potential problems down the road with the Sports Pkg versus the stock system, ie issues with height sensors, etc.

Welcome!

I can't comment on the Sport package in particular, but I can say that I believe height adjustment is the same setup as non-sport. The car is a mazing and good luck with it(if you do get it). Enjoy!

One thing though, I think we need some more pictures on this board!

Thanks. I gave my 2003 GX 470 Sand Dollar pearl to my wife and I really miss the vehicle; bought a 2002 E430. I remember the old ride and I took a five minute test drive with a Sports Pkg and I could not tell a huge difference with body lean, but it was a test ride. I like the Ash Blue/Gray GX the best, but it is without the Sports Pkg and RSES (DVD).

If I order, then I would just wait til 2006 for the Sat Radio option. . .

I bought a GX(blk/ivory) with the sport package after a full weekend trial. I pushed it to probably 75-80% of it's limits on cloverleaf ramps very early on a Saturday AM and it hung in there. The tires screamed but the GX stayed the course. Very similar to my X5(standard susp). Larger wheels &/or higher rated tires being responsible for any minor differences. The on road ride is slightly bumpier, the seating position is higher, and there is that occasional soft driveline bump but after all it is a true SUV not a pretender. 6 weeks and 2500 miles and no complaints. Even my wife is getting accustomed to it's somewhat coarser features -- traded an '04 LS(sport susp}. Would highly recommend color combination and package -- especially since you don't live close to me. I don't want to see me coming and going, Local dealer appear to have only 1 or 2 GX's with SP in stock. Color choice is limited -- very similar to LS with SP situation.
