Default Personalized settings

Apparently many personalized settings are available for the GX. Does someone know how to prog the following settings:

A. Auto locking of doors at 13 mph: i.e., When the truck reaches 13 mph, all of the doors will automatically lock.

B. By pressing the remote key door unlock button one time unlocks all doors.

C. If the headlights are ON or in the AUTO position, turn off immediately when the vehicle is turned off and the driver door is opened.

D. Sensitivity of automatic headlights
In the "AUTO" mode, the front headlights turn on under 'lighter' ambient light conditions. (change from 3 to 2)

thx!

Lexite,

These can programmed at the dealership. I recently took delivery of a GX and my dealer told me to read about these personalized settings, and they can program it for me on my 5,000 mile service.

Sure the dealers can program these settings. But there shouldn't be much involved in doing these settings ourselves. I remember canging one of the settings to unlock doors when shifting back to P couple of years ago. It was a very simple procedure.

Of all the personlized settings, I think only a few of them can be set by following some obscure set of steps involving pushing buttons and clicking your heals three times. The how-to for these are spread throughout the owners manual. I think the rest can only be set via the trucks computer, which is why the dealer must do it... unless you have access to the right equipment.

I may be wrong. Maybe there is a sequence to change the rest and for some reason (ahem...$$$) Lexus only tells us about a couple and says to have the dealer do the rest. My dealer charged me $25 to change the sensitivity of the auto-headlights.

lexite, i don't know about B through D, but A (13mph lock) can definitely be done on your own. i used some instructions on the GX forum two years ago on the new RX and it worked beautifully. you will have to do a search here, but there is a thread that had all the SELF-programmable lock functions.

Does this apply only to new vehicles, or CPO as well?
