I want information on swapping a 1997 lx 450 engine (inline 6 cyl) with a lx470 v-8) i am also looking for perfomance upgrades for my lx 450. Any help would be greatly weclome

it won't be pretty at all. it's a lot more than just the engine. the transmission, the belt housing, clucth, radiator, the whole computer, all the harness, etc... it's going to be so much money you probably wanna just go out and get a lx470

Just finished with one in a fj55, extreemly expensive/ wiring is complicated, cheeper to just buy 470 and swap in the solid axel. Try ih8mud.com or pirate board for more info use search function
