Roof Rack (for Lumber, Ladder)
I know you wouldn't typically do this to a Lexus, but I occasionally have a need to tranport a ladder around (12 footer) and 4x8 sheets of plywood. The best place to put oversize items like this (for short distances of course) would be the roof rack.
Has anyone tried carrying items of this type on the roof? How did you attach the items to the roof rack?

Real easy, move the roof racks cross cars to the front and back and put the ladder up on to, make sure it is centered, I usually put a rag or towel under the whatever Im tieing down so it does not scratch the cross bars then I just use those tie down cables that come in all different lenghts with the hook on them, just stretch them tight, same thing with the boards
