Default dvd's in the changer?

I read somewhere that if you are parked with the handbrake on you can play movies on the navi screen in a ML system. I just tried it and it did not work. Anyone else?

correct you can, when the DVD is playing press the disk source button up front and it should appear on the NAV screen.

the disk button located by the AM, FM, TAPE buttons, it is near the cassette deck. Going by memory.

So if you put a DVD in the CD changer magazine the movie automatically starts on the navigation screen?

The '06 GX has a CD changer in the glove box, and that will not play DVD's.

The '07 to '09 GX's have a DVD changer.

If you have the '06 with rear seat entertainment (RSE), then you can play the video from the rear DVD player on the front NAV screen.

I don't think this is possible from the standard cd changer. DVD players read audio from CD's but CD players can't read DVD as the the data layers and encoding are different.

Only works on 07 and later models with the ML system using the changer in the glove box.
