Question New glovebox?

Just picked up my 06 GX today...much to my surprise, it has a very visably scratch on the glovebox (looks to be from high heels or something pretty sharp, at least). Anyone have any ideas on how to fix massive sratches on that dashboard plasticy-rubbery stuff?! Or does anyone know how much it will cosy &/or where I could get a new glove box from?!

Thanks,

Hey, if the glove box is scratched from high heels. I might like to find out how the previous owner managed that.

Ask you SA for the name of the company they use to recondition their used car interiors. Most dealers have a working relationship with a mobile vinyl/leather repair company. I would assume a fix like that would not cost that much.

When I worked at a Porsche dealer I was astounded at some of the repairs/reconditioning work these guys performed. They made 10 yr old leather seats and consoles look like new.

Ten minutes with my daughter sitting in the passenger's seat and you will see how it is done If she does it while driving I will start to get really scared.

It's gotta be from high heels...it doesn't bug me as much now as it did the first time or two I looked at it (when it was bright and sunny outside and therefore VERY noticeable), but I will definitely look into some local interior repair shops. They do do a very good job based off off past experience when they repaired the side of my leather seats in my old silverado when I bought it a few years back...didn't last much longer than a years, but I sold it then anyways, so...meh.

Thanks for the tips!

You can get just the glove box door cover from Lexus, but last I looked, the kings ransom was about $180.00.
