Not sure where you are in FL but if it is the SE area, I will share with you the name of the person I spoke with at Lexus Corp who can contact the 'area rep'. I believe this forum allows private messaging. Good luck.

Hey I'm in the SE Florida area as well Palm Beach , I blamed the service techs for the damage. I noticed it right after a radio repair. I'd be happy with the information as well.

I thought I was the only one with this issue. Starting to sound more and more like a manufacturing defect.
Burl - the picture on page 3 is IDENTICAL to that of my (well, my wife's) 03 GX470. Sort of creepy.
We live in metro Atlanta and called two dealers. They played dumb, but I've yet to contact customer service for a resolution. Anyone have much luck getting this replaced?

Gx 470 dashboard crack
My husband and I were proud owners of two Lexus cars until recently. I have a huge crack down my dashboard and went to my local dealership where they told me to contact corporate because this was a default in the dashboard. I have made many calls to out "local rep." who has never returned a call. I spoke with a "customer (no) service" rep who told me that they would NOT replace my dash because I have never gotten my car serviced at the dealership. Are you KIDDING me? I didn't say I had a cracked engine... I have a cracked dashboard. I plan on making a few more calls to Lexus and then I'm taking it to court.
Pictures attached.
VERY Disappointed!

It almost makes me sick to look at those pictures.
If this happens to my GX, and Lexus won't do anything about it, that will be the end of Lexus ownership for me.

Lexie03, what year is your GX (I'm assuming '03 from your nick)
This appears to be dash production defect related to the fact that the material used to produce the dash is designed to fall appart when the air bag deploys.
Is this problem confined to '03-'05 GX, or are other model years affected?

I reallly do not understand why Lexus would not cover this!!! this is clearly a flaw that should be taken care of

Please add me to the list as well. Mine looked exactly like the one pictured here. It has been fixed, didn't even try the dealer route. Fixed by a vinyl repair shop to a satisfactory condition.
Originally a Southeast Florida vehicle with 52,000 miles, 2004 with charcoal interior.
