There are many hidden menus to access Defender. The menue you are referring to is the menu for overriding the navigation lockout function, so you can drive and still input destinations on the nav unit. I do not believe there is a section for the bluetooth phone in that menu, but I could be wrong.
Be VERY carful what you play around with in these menus!!!! There is a possibility of pressing something that really screws things up. I have read on here about accessing the rear camera while in motion, so you can see the trailer coupling while driving, but I haven't tried it yet. and others have posted other things that can be changed through these menus also. Unless there is a problem I want to fix, I would not just go playing with these things.

I agree. Please don't start changing just anything.

When I brought up the bluetooth screen I saw 3 places to put values? The first 2 boxes I put to 3 and then the last box you can type a number from the keypad off to the right---so I put 3 in there too? does that sound correct?

Default An Apology

Well, I owe you guys an apology. I thought this was a joke. I figured you had made this up, and were secretly laughing at all the new Lexus owners sitting in their cars flashing their headlights. I could see you laughing and saying, "Yep. Four flashes. Another sucker."

But I had to try it.

And it worked. What about that? Cool.

Are there any other secret menus/tips about the GX 470 that are not common knowledge?

I'll never distrust you again.

I'll be damned. Yeah, that is nuts that stuff like that even works. lol

I turned both mine up to "2" but I'm not sure that helped at all.

WoW. Impressed very much. I have 2007 GX470 and had to turn lights on and off only 3 times. I guess every year is different. However I noticed that besides coming sound box and leaving sound box, there is 3rd box and dial keypad. Anybody aware of what is this 3rd key pod for?

Also, when I set destination in my NAVI, I can't hear announcement if music is too loud. Only One speaker, driver's side, is muting radio and transfers NAVI sound. Any body knows how to adjust sound either to make driver's side speaker make louder announcements or mute all speakers at the time NAVI's announcement is being made.

Thank you.
