Default 2010-2013 F-Sport Grill

I got my f-sport grill from Bell Lexus yesterday, i painted it gloss black using superwrap. It came in the factory gray color which threw everything off on my GX. I put it on, I still don’t know how a feel about it. I still like what I did with the original grill. What do y’all think?

maybe you should have left the L logo in chrome to give it some contrast like your OEM grille?

IMHO the original grill is the winner. I am no Pininfarina but the original design gives the grill it good presence with its wide 3-D looking horizontal sections. The F-sport grill has no 3 dimensional effect, it creates a black void, it looks like there is something missing, kind of removes continuity/flow to the front line that the grill has with the headlights. I would only mod my original grill, if I had a black or dark colored GX, I would paint it satin black and leave the Lexus emblem stock or may be play with black vinyl accents to create a more modern look (see my design in the attached pic)...

FYI: If you were on the fence about getting an F-Sport grille you may want to pick one up. I am hearing rumors it may now be discontinued and remaining stock may be all that is left.

That looks great, I agree the F sport grill as is doesn’t do it for me.

I like the stock grill better as well but I also can't help myself from modding everything so of course I had to change the stock grill out for it.

It appears with the complete lack of inventory anywhere this part has been EOL'd.

If you're still on the fence about this one, get it now. Cheapest price I found.

Before I plasti-dipped the OEM grill and put a Toyota badge on this, I had the F-Sport grill on this. I took that off for this look. The particular color plasti dip is a near match the Knights Armor color. Trashed the F-Sport grill when we moved though. Not a solution but a viable option if you are looking to tweak the looks a bit without doing a full update.
