The exterior changes should be limited to models fitted with the sport design package. Even then, the changes aren't that noticeable.

My GS400 was the Electra Blue. Sweetest color in my opinion. Will tell the wifey....
And the captain chairs are a cool option.

Expect no big changes until 2018 or maybe even beyond that.

Speaking of the 2018 GX, with the 2017 hitting showroom floors and no major changes, any ideas what changes the 2018 will have? I'm holding out on getting a GX, and turned down some great offers for 2016 models just to see what 2018 brings.

Absolutely none and no one will know until late 2017. Speculation is there is something new to come and it is due time. What kind of "great offers" are you getting for the 2016?
