Default 2014 GX Luxury Manheim report

Hi, can someone please post the Manheim report for a 2014 GX Luxury. Trying to negotiate with a dealer and want to get an idea of what the current auction value is.

Thanks.

The lowest price is $43600 with 14026 miles, Kansas City auction 3/30/16
The highest price is $47000 with 24929 miles, Chicago auction 4/14/16.
These are actual transactions.

I haven't seen a nice Luxury at Manheim in months... 2 of the 3 that ran in PA were pigs.

I look on a daily basis.

So only dealers have access to that information? Bummer.

Correct.

Manheim info isn't public but it's usually easy enough to get. The problem with MMR is that you're not looking at the cars.

Sooo... three 20K mile 2013 RXs cross the block behind one another. All three are white. One does $25,700 and one does $30,300 and one does $33,100. Why such a variation?

1) No Nav, Parch interior, bad carfax. Unibody damage announcement.

2) Black interior, Nav, Nice.

3) F-Sport. Immaculate.

Another thing to consider, If a Lexus dealer Certified Pre Owned the vehicle, that is a cost not reflected in an auction value.

Not only that.. Dealers keep every nice GX that comes in off lease as the buyouts are often under MMR.

So if an off-lease GX makes it to auction in the LFS Lane, it's because it's either a repo or it's a rat. On top of that, when a truly nice one shows up at auction it does a ringer.

So you're saying I should definitely try to get out of my lease before it ends? It's currently worth more than I owe, and I have 9 months left...

That's your call, but our finance director had like a year to go on her 14 GX Premium and IIRC the payoff was just over $41 and I traded it for payoff. GX resale is outstanding, clean, low mile ones often have a few grand of equity in them at lease end.

If you want a dealer payoff PM me the last 8 of your VIN and I can pull it, I can also give you a good idea of what it's worth.

GXs and LXs are in the same boat; it's ES, IS and especially GS people that are flipped the other way.

thats what the dealer paid. They then mark it up by 5-10 grand and sell it too you.

prices are good for now for gx.
When either a redesign comes or they discontinue, prices will plummit by few thousand (last time i think 5 grand when refreshed)
also, gas is low helping suv sales.

Hmm..perhaps a redesigned unibody will help to keep the used GX value higher with the diehard BOF fans? A discontinued model would have the same result as well.

A redesigned BOF, yes I agree with substantial deprecation for existing owners.

Diehard BOF fans or not, resale values still plummit. Usually the GX comes into its own at the very end of warranty, where competitors are falling apart, and the GX is still readily intact.

I don't agree that new models cause the old ones to plummet. If you think through what drives used car values you will understand why. People don't base used car purchases on whether or not something has been updated. They base the purchase on saving money by buying used. It would only make a difference if the used versus new was only a few thousand dollars. In addition, there are always many used car buyers who don't even want a first year new model.

I've bought 61 (maybe 62, need to look it up) new cars. That means I have gotten rid of nearly as many used cars and I've always been good at understanding used car values. I've seen this phenomenon many, many times.
