Startup screen with dealer logo
Has anyone ever customized the startup image on the screen? Every time we start the GX we get the dealer image and it would be nice if it could be something else a little more meaningful to us.
BTW our new ride is a 2016 GX 460 Premium in Starfire Pearl/Ecru with the all weather mats, and tow package. Stepped up from an '11 RX 350.

Thanks I will dig around in the settings, haven't really had time to mess around with it yet. Picked it up with 5 miles on the clock from Sterling McCall Lexus about a week ago.

RTFM (page 58-60 of the NAV manual)...first save the image (jpg or jpeg) you want to show on your screen to a USB drive inside a folder labeled "Image" (case sensitive). Switch the engine to Accessory or Ignition On. Display General Settings screen. Select Customize. Select 1 copy from USB. Select the desired images, then Yes. Now you can go back to the Select Customize screen and set the image to startup image or screen off image or both.

Resurrection!
Because if you're searching for this, you need to know that if you format your image to 1200x675 pixels it seems to look the best.
This is a super cool feature. Lexus infotainment just went from a negative number to at least a 3 on a scale of 1-10.
I am a simple man.

Does this work on all years or only 14+?

AFAIK '14+ only as you are putting a graphic file in specific startupimage folder on the nav SD card.

Just as an FYI for anyone that might be having an issue doing this, the thumb drive you are using MUST be formatted as a FAT32 drive. For some reason my drive did NTFS when I initially formatted it and I tried probably 10 different things before figuring out it was the drive settings. On the positive side, the 1200 x 675 file size does look nice once its in.

The older usb drives (512mb-8gb) tend to work better for this. Usually the free promotional usb drives companies give out will work great.
The newer 3.1 usb that are 64gb or more aren’t able to be formatted to fat32 in windows 10. I’m sure there’s some technical limitations that someone can better explain.
