Thanks for the information. I had not tested in a 2014-2015 before, i assumed they did because the previous model did. Now i feel better. They do level up and down! My OCD can rest!!

Default 2010 to 2015 GX Conversion

I apologize if this has been posted before but I can't find the information I need.

I am looking for a place to buy the conversion parts needed to convert my 2010 to a 2015.

Also does anyone have the part numbers.

Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: see below

However in your case I believe the part number is a 2014 Lexus GX460

Two threads on the subject:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...-lexus-gx.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...sion-done.html

The second one is more detailed and the OP actually did the conversion. Neither one has the actual part numbers but you could reach out to the poster to see if he has a list.

Edit: Also, this thread explains why the OP did the conversion https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...12-2015-a.html

great work there. Didn't think it would be simple fitting in the new parts. I'm guessing you did not have to change the front fenders?

There were no hassles at all besides making the headlights work with afs. I must say that they are not moving from left to right when i turn as the old headlights did but they auto level when i start the vehicle. In order for the afs light not to turn in i had to dissasemble the old headlight and take the module for the afs that is located below the module of the HID. We tried everything before reaching for this solution which i did not like but its better than purchasing aprox 2500 for a engine harness plus ecu and installation. Besides the headlight situation which took us aproximately 5 hours everything went smooth as butter.
There are alot of parts to be purchased and i do not mind posting the part numbers if the mods dont mind.
I was missing some parts but nothing major that prevented me from finishing the install. Tonight i will post the part no.s if it does not bring me any troubles and the module im refering to of the afa in order for the light not to come on.
I had to basically render useless the old headlights in order for these to work without "flaws"("" because they arent turning left to right) that does not bother me that they aren't turning but the blinking afs my OCD would kill me hah
As a former Lexus associate having worked within our Technology division, I can tell you the 2014+ LED headlights do not swivel. The AFS feature was pretty much retired throughout the brands model lines. Only the LS (current gen) carries AFS. The GX450h 2015 was the last year that model had AFS too. The new GX only auto levels (up and down). Therefore since your GX460 had the premium package it came with HID AFS headlights requiring you to do what you did in order to get the light from appearing on your dash.

Cheers,
James

Default FEELER: My 2014+ bumpers for your 2013s?

Im close to committing to a new GX. I'm required by work to have a new (or very slightly used 2015-2016). I'm partial to the 2010-2013 bumpers but can't buy those year GXs (too old...dumb, I know (it's not a good problem to have)). I came across this thread after some google searches and found that swapping the bumpers may not be that difficult. As long as someone with the older and someone with the newer both agree...it should be tit for tat with minimal costs associated right?

so, my question is...if I do end up getting a '15-'17 GX can I count on one of you guys to swap bumpers, grill, and headlights with me?

Im in North Florida and would be willing to travel a little to make this work. I haven't locked down a specific vehicle yet so I don't know what color bumpers I'll have to offer or what color I'll need.

as the title states...this is just a feeler and just want to gauge interest.

thanks,

the Colonal
