Heated seats for a 2016 gx 460 base
Has anyone had any experience with adding heated seats to the front seats? My lexus dealership is telling me you cant get the bottom of the passenger seat heated, just lumbar. Any input would be appreciated

I am not sure about dealer installed but there are a lot of aftermarket options for heated seats.

How you doing in your research with the heated seats?
Could be true because some vehicle have the sensor for like when a child is present...
I just purchased a GX with a base package my self and will be doing this MOD my self. I'm a car audio installer and I done a few other cars. We had a problem on a Subaru the heat kept the air bag come on like if someone was on the seat. Will post pictures when I do it.

I have this sensor in my 2011 and I doubt they did away with it. If I put groceries or anything of weight on the front seat, I have a light on the center console showing "Air Bag".

Tons of aftermarket, as said before. Only trick is getting it to look factory, which would require also ordering the factory switches. If you don't care about the OEM look, then it should be no problem.
As an aside, IMO it's very crappy of Lexus to make heated and ventilated seats an optional extra. In earlier years of the GX, heated seats were standard factory equipment. I would imagine that Lexus had to go to some expense to remove them/provide blanks on the handful of trucks that don't have them. But Lexus knows that by withholding heated seats it will get buyers to shell out a few more thousand dollars. But that's life.

I did reach out to a local aftermarket supplier and he advised me that his shop won't mess with the airbag sensors in the seat. I ended up buying a premium model. I see Angelslex is in the audio aftermarket business - wondering what you think of the 2016 GX stereo, have you thought about replacing the speakers?
