Lightbulb Block Heater

Has anyone had a factory provided block heater installed by their Lexus dealer on a GX 460? We are in a very cold climate and are interested in this option.

Old thread resurrection... was just curious for faster heater warmups but may back burner as far more invasive than I thought it would be to install.

Are you able to see where it goes into the block or is it obstructed by the above mentioned items?

It's pretty hidden under all the plastic and stuff but I can try to trace it when I get home tonight..

Default Block Heater Cord Routing

I just got a used '15 GX460, and the block heater cord is up at the driver's side headlight poking out under the hood, I HATE this placement as the cord either flaps and rubs on the headlight housing, or you have to pop the hood and pull the cord in and out each use (which my wife is just not going to do). Has anyone found a better spot for this? Why would they not use the plug style like the 5th gen 4Runners for this?!?

I'll update with the answer to my question, the block heater cord was JUST long enough to re-route down to the chin spoiler on the front bumper, where I've ziptied it to the support and it can be safely tucked into the lower air dam when not in use, rather than flapping and scraping against the headlight lense.
