Default Real world pricing on new GX460 Luxury?

We are looking at the 2016 GX Luxury with an MSRP of just over 68K (including the $940 delivery fee). What sort of discounting can we expect to achieve?

Anyone with recent purchases care to share what they paid without taxes and whether it included the $940 fee and what the discount off MSRP was?

Default What kind of pricing for 2016 GX Luxury

When the 2015's first came on the market they were not giving much of a break in my area. I purchased in Annapolis, MD. I waited until after the first of the year, Jan 23, 2015, and got a reasonable deal. Demand in your area is going to set your price. The Luxury has more profit built into it, so they have more bargaining room. I would assume about $3500 to $4000 off the sticker, before TTL. Look up on line at True car or Edmunds and find out the wholesale price and then bargin from the bottom up, not from the top down. If you are trading in a vehicle that can change your deal. If you have a late model luxury /or high demand vehicle they can put on their lot and sell right away will help. If it is not it will go straight to the auction yard. The auction yard price on a trade in is depressingly low. If that is the case, sell your used car as a private party sale.

We got our 2015 in Oct of 2014 with the same MSRP as the OP for $4k off the sticker. They still had one 2014 Lux on their lot and wouldn't sell that one to me for $59K. Depends on your market though.

I was looking at a GX Luxury back in September.
with this price, you're a few thousands away from the Land Cruiser.
Check a base LX 570 too.
the 2015 will have deep discount since there are 2016 in the lot already here in SoCal.

Got ours with around 2.5k off sticker price, reason being the dealer didn't want to negotiate at all. As some said the demand in your area will vary ur price range. In our area the demand is pretty good we came one day there were 5 on the lot came back 4 days later and 3 were already sold that's why they didn't want to bargain too much.

We were able to negotiate $65k out the door less licensing fees or tax on a loaded one that the MSRP was 68,300. We ended up buying a loaded 2015 with same options except the enforcement apps for $59k. At that point, the annual depreciation was almost a wash and we got the color combo we wanted with the features we wanted.

I was able to get them to take $3k off the sticker of a $57k Premium and add $1k to the value of my trade in. I used USAA's car buying service and it was practically zero hassle.

I was pushing for $3500 off, but they told me that they don't have to discount them because they can't keep the GX on the lot which is true. Two-thirds of every shipment they get is already sold. I went last week & they had 3 on the lot. Two days later, they were gone.

They keep saying that (about already being sold), but our local dealer has like 6 on their lot. I think they're FOS. Regardless....3-4K off should be the standard discount.

I suspect that your mileage may vary. My dealership (Nalley Lexus in Smyrna, GA) is a pretty big one & they have a ton of inventory on their lot, but very few GX & LX models. I would say that the GX & LX shortage is self inflicted, but I have seen the same thing at all three Lexus dealerships in the Metro Atlanta area.

When I bought my GX from Nalley Lexus Smyrna on Oct 2014, it was the only new one in stock. At that time, the salesperson said in 10 days, another shipment will be coming in.
