Pen Stuck in 2010 GX460 Cup Holder
Can anyone please walk me through removing the drink compartment so I can remove a pen that has lodged behind the lid on the cup holder? I've found threads for other cars but not for my year/model. Thanks

You'll have to remove the leather side trim pieces, and then pop up some clips for the shifter surround piece, and then remove the cup holder assembly by pulling it upward.

Pen removal from drink cup holder from GX460 2010
Thanks Matt!
Here are the step by step directions for those of you who have made the same mistake;
After looking through the pictures, we could clearly see all we needed to do was pull out the clips attached to the leather trim on the side of the drink holder/ gear shift, starting at the drink cup holder, by gently pulling straight out. We needed to pull the leather away far enough to dislodge 3 clips on both sides of the drink holder/gear shift. From there we could lift the drink cup directly up, along with the gear shift and gently undo the clips holding the drink holder on. We turned the drink cup holder sideways and were able to get the pen out. After that, we just reversed our steps and were done in less than 5 minutes. One warning!!! Do NOT touch anything under the gear shift/controls. It will shock you!!! :/
Couldn't have done it without you, Jacket!
