I tend to agree on the pricing...
Problem is the PlastiDip even with the glossifier doesn't get the look I want in certain areas.
Vinyl gets the look I need (Gloss) in areas but can't be done as easily it in all reas.
Hmmmm.?
Tecman:
Looks good.....
Vinyl or Plastidip? How long has it been done? Holding up?
Front windows and Drone Mobile starter installed the day after I bought it.

Why not just do both? I know it won't be as uniform, but only you will know. For example, you can plastidip the emblems, chrome accents on the grill and window trim. And the larger, more noticeable areas like grill surround and trunk pieces can be vinyl wrapped. Just an idea.

Here is a quick mockup I did............ Gloss black on larger ER outside chrome. Black inserts on grill? Matte or Gloss on inserts? Emblem either PlastiDip or black pearl.
Mockup...... Back end Black Gloss vinyl around Plate, PlastiDip emblems or possibly the black pearl ones?
Mockup...... Matte Black vinyl around window. Gloss black on lower door moulding on door handles. Thinking about roof rack but may hold off.

If you have disposable income, by all means, get those emblems. But no way are they worth $300 in my eyes. That could easily go into other mods, such as the nav hack. Honestly, I think you should start out small. So get some painters tape and a black can of whatever rubberized spray of your choice. If you don't like it, simply peel it off. Just make sure you do enough coats so it's easier to remove.
I purchased anthracite metallic plastidip and did my wheels and rear emblems. I did my front emblem but I messed up the prepping and didn't like the way it turned out. But the anthracite matches the front grill because it's sort of gunmetal. I believe there are tutorials on mixing and/or layering different colors and metallics to achieve different finishes. So you could possibly add a metalizer(???)
