Body Damage/repair and lease impact
My car was parked in a parking lot today and when I returned to my car to leave, I noticed somebody had smashed into the left corner of my rear bumper, causing the panel to stick out a few inches in addition to the crumbled corner. Of course, they didn't leave a note and the place's security cameras didn't cover this portion of the lot.
My car is leased and the term ends this December. Does anyone know if this will impact the residual or any lease covenants in any way? Any other tips or pointers would be appreciated.
I was thinking about buying the car at the end of the term, but now I might let it go as it will no longer have a flawless vehicle history report.

As long as you repair to an original condition that's what your lease requires. Additionally, most leases require you notify them of the damages and repairs. Read your fine print.
