Default GX460 map distance/time calc - versus Google Maps

I've noticed that my time estimate on the GX navigation is consistently about 15-20% longer than my Google Maps GPS navigation time estimates.

Both are traffic-aware.

About the only thing I can surmise is that the Google Maps thinks it has "better" traffic guidance than the Lexus.

Anyone have experience / feedback / observations?

Default GX460 Nav Vs Google Maps

I have not used google when driving. However, when using the GX 460 Nav the projected time of travel is just about right on. Based on the speed I am driving and traffic slow downs it readjusts and gets me there based on the Nav calculations.

You may need to go in and adjust the speeds on your factory Nav.

Seems pretty spot on for me. Now if I can figure out how to get rid of the XM based crap on my es300h...

In the customization screen, Nav options, you can adjust local, highway and another type of speeds that the Nav uses to calc your times. Check your owners manual or play around with the settings in your nav usit. They come from the factory set at 55MPH for highway.
