What is the range on your remote to lock or unlock your truck?

Mine is currently 30 +/- feet I recently replaced the remote batteries and saw no improvement.

On my Toyota it is 200 +/- feet easily..

I am just trying to determine if a trip to the dealer is needed.

Why the concern about the distance? 30 feet sounds more than sufficient. When your battery gets really low the distance generally decreases. A trip to dealer would not be needed, in my opinion. You cannot open anything until you get to the vehicle, so why should a greater distance matter.

For remote start, also if your in the house and you want to open it for your spouse or child to get something.

I've used the chin to remote method and it helps but the range on the Lexus remote is horrible in my opinion.

honestly, a longer range does help... I recall at times when I thought I locked it but wasn't sure... save me from walking all the way back in the rain with the Res + Res + is supposed to be up to 80+ feet standard is only up to 30 feet which is kind of Sad.

Put your remote to your head while you push the button and your range will increase substantially. I'm being serious.
