Default 2015 GX460 loud beeping

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else getting a loud beeping when you are in reverse? I have looked in the manual but could not find a way to turn it off. Please help.

Thank you.

It's your cross traffic alert. Something/someone is in range of your rear sensors.

Default Front Bumper Sensors

Another possibility is you're front bumper sensors are being triggered eg if you're parking in a garage or even in a parking lot and something is within 2 ft of your bumper sensors.

There are various settings to turn off or reduce the width of the bumper sensors if that's what's happening to you. But to start with try just turning them off altogether while the beeping is occurring to see if that's the cause.

Aren't you seeing some kind of lighted indicator on your dash when the beeping is occurring?

It's a different "loud beeping" when you're backing up and something interferes with the cross-traffic alert.

Is your GX very dirty with lots of salt build up? Sometimes when the parking sensors get ice/snow/mud/etc on them they will think something is very close. Just clean them off and it should take care of the issue. If your GX is clean then it is probably something else...
