Seat Comfort - Questions, Problems, Options

I actually like the 2014 4-runner Limited driver seat better than my 2014 GX460 Premium. It is more firm, but comfortable over a long period of time. I actually like the leather better as well. You would think the Lexus would have a better seat, but in my opinion it doesn't especially for long drives (3 hrs+).
surprised to know this, considering the price difference between the two..

update March 03 2015
finally made the GX460 seat comfortable.
the dealers could not help at all.
and Lexus USA could not help either.
and all they should/could have done is to provide a simple seat pillow, of the right length and size.
we made one ourselves, because it needs to be customized and can not be found in the malls.
now the seat feels much better.

Good to hear that you are comfortable in your GX 460

I wanted to post a reply to him on that thread, but that thread was closed by administrator due to heated arguments ..

[QUOTE=tecman;8939474]Maybe you can sell one to mohanman.
Tecman that is too funny
BTW I LOVE the seat in my 2015 GX. I just dont understand all the people complaining about there seats. I'm 57 years old and had back problems my entire life and no complaints here.

No thanks, I'll pass. A luxury vehicle requiring a home made pillow?? Forget it, Im already selling this vehicle hopefully someone buys it ASAP. Its so tight its crazy. I think this car is made for skinny women or college kids.. not for me.. I'm 6'2" and 250lbs. Ill stick with something more wide.. maybe the new Tahoe or get another Armada.
Thanks anyways

I find it very comfortable. Just finished a drive, 550 miles each way, with no issues. Could only use cruise control for about 70 miles of the total drive. Very happy with the comfort.

Well after driving around the GX for a couple more weeks, I still can't handle the drivers seat. Its tight, and my low back is aching. There is some sort of bar or wedge that sticks out into the lower back.. really annoying. Although I must admit GX ride is smooth and quiet, comfort is a must. I can't imagine taking this vehicle on long road trips. So I traded it in! Toyota/Lexus gave me the worse trade in price, Nissan were a bunch of thieves. All in all, it came down to the Chevy Tahoe. Excellent deal, excellent car, excellent salesperson.... much more comfortable. Proud to be back in the American market. Is it going to be as reliable as a Lexus? Probably not, but with a lease who cares?

nice new ride, congrats! I do like the ride and room of the Tahoe (have the previous generation, 2010) - only downside I have so far is some of the interior plastics in my generation aren't holding up so well, cracking, creaking, peeling.
