Some shots in the wild [pictures V.2]
Let me start by saying, this GX460 is no grocery getter. As soon as it hit 700 miles, It started a life of off-road exploration the way it was designed to.
Let me tell you, this truck is truly capable on sand dunes like non-other. From the full time all wheel drive system to the diff lock and low end torque-y V8 engine.
Wanted to share some shots were taken in Saudi Arabia's western deserts (lighter sand) and central region (darker colored sand.) As you can see, deserts and dunes specifically make up a natural and beautiful landscape very much pleasing to the eye but tough to navigate or reach. So heres a few shots of the GX out there...

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I know it is hard for the pictures to convey the scale of the slopes and the heights. I took some pictures here in NM from the top of some huge hills, and they looked small in the pictures. You're last 2 shots really show the scale well though. Great Job!!!
Did you have to use any of the advanced 4wd features (i.e. Crawl, Downhill Assist, Raise the car, etc.), or do you get around in 4L?

Happy New Year. Nice pictures and thank you for sharing. I've never been to Saudi Arabia, but those sand dunes look like fun; I'd probably go up and down those all day long. Luckily for you, gas is cheap as hell there, no matter the market. Enjoy the GX, it was built for these types of adventures.

And yes, i do take advantage of the 4L and crawl features when the car gets stuck in the sand from time to time. Diff lock is defiantly a life saver. But as far as the howhill assist, not so much as it produces way too many scary ABS noises inside the cabin.
