Non-HID headlight upgrades
Anyone have suggestions for upgrading the headlight bulbs on a 2013 GX460 that does not have the factory upgraded HID lights? I'm looking for plug and play, NOT an aftermarket HID install at the moment.
Does anyone have experience with HIR bulbs or have any particular brand/type of H11 (low beam) and HB3/9005 (high beam) that they would recommend?
I'd like to get a brighter, whiter light than what I'm getting from stock. I've seen lots of brands and claims on the internet associated with names like "silver star ultra", but does anyone have real world experience with upgraded, halogen high output bulbs?
PS: I am NOT interested in blue or purple "wannabe" HID lights that look cool but don't improve viability.
Thanks all!

I have "plug and play" LEDs from Vleds ,looks like they have been replaced with this.

If you prefer to stick with halogen, I went through several halogen brands on my MDX and found the PIAA Extreme White to be the brightest/whitest bulb

Thanks Tecman! I'll try the PIAAs first for the winter and then try the VLeds in my low beam / projector housing when spring comes around. I'm concerned about resale so nylon tie-downs are OK but I don't want to do any modifications to the existing headlight housing.
One more question: Do the VLeds fit securely using the factory seals/gaskets or does it take some creativity to get a solid mount and a proper seal?

I have the PIAA Extreme whites for my highs and while they are brighter they still look yellow when they are used for the DRL's. I have turned off the DRL option for now. I had LED's the KOZ recommended but one burnt out after a year so I ordered another set from KB and they were pretty dim so I put the PIAA's back in. I like the Vled LED's that tecman is running but I want a LED that will both function as my DRL and high. According to Vled's they will not function for the DRL's. the other observation I had with running LEDS for high beams is that they did not throw off an even light, they were kinda all over, not sure how to explain it.
