Ugh I hate to even murmmer these words but the MB G500 (used obviously), the Toyota 4runner (trd pro), and last but not least the Toyota fj cruiser trail teams ultimate edition. All of them were great, lately we've been wanting a change out of lexus / Toyota but the cars really are not that great once out of the family... its a trip. I also liked the infiniti qx80 but my wife absolutely hated it.
you cant go wrong with any toyota. They may not drive like a german car, but overall they last a heck of lot longer. Infiniti is closest german rival in terms of handling and sportiness.

that's too funny, its a pretty broad arrangement of cars but they all have that special something. My wife primarily loves MB (especially the G). It came very, very close to one we found locally. At the same time my buddy has got one and he told me that within the first month it had to go in for electrical warranty repairs. The lx as nice as it is, imo is very expensive now -- and we still have our expo rig (trd supercharged / lifted) land cruiser. We also wanted that ultimate edition trail teams fj but for kids (in baby seats) that suicide door was a little of a pain.

You aren't joking. My land cruiser has almost 200k miles and is still running strong! Again to think its supercharged too and no problems. Love it!!! The inifinti was a great choice because of the value. Figure you're getting a LX with not as many amenities for $30k less. Again the GX was much nicer once we got into it.
